How do I register?
Click here to register online through Eventbrite – it is quick and easy. Race registration is first come, first serve. We do anticipate selling out before registration closes, so get registered soon!

How can I verify my registration?
Log in to Eventbrite here, and check your current orders.

Are there refunds?
The entry fee paid is non-transferable and non-refundable.

Is there a waitlist?
No, there is no wait list. Register ASAP to reserve your spot.

I registered for the half marathon. Is it possible to switch to the 5k?
No, entries are not transferable.

How do I register a group?
Groups of 5 to 10 runners receive $5 off* for each group member. All members of the group must be purchased together to qualify for the discount.

*Group registration discount redeemable for the half marathon only.

Where do I pick up my race packet?
You must pick up your race number on Saturday, October 7 from 11:30-4:30 at Running Warehouse. Race day packet pickup is Sunday from 5:30-6:30 a.m. at Court Street downtown, by the race start.  5k packet pick up is available at Dinosaur Cave Park, in Pismo from 6-7 am.  Click for full packet pickup and Running Warehouse sale info. Race Packets will NOT be mailed to you!

Can someone else pick up my race packet on my behalf?
Yes, if they have a copy of your photo ID.

If I cannot attend the race anymore, can I still get my packet?
You can still come to packet pickup and get your packet! However, if you cannot make it to packet pick up, there is no way to get your packet after race day.

Can I exchange my shirt for a different size?
We order these shirts in advance to fit our participants. If we let you exchange your shirt, someone else will not be able to get the size that they ordered. Keep in mind that sizing is gender specific.

Is there a time limit to complete the half marathon?
The course is open for three hours, but there are some runners that need a bit more time. If you finish after three hours you’ll still get a medal, but you may need to move to the sidewalk (the course is controlled by the CHP and police only for the three hours).

Can I walk the 5k or the half marathon?
Yes, within the 3 hour and 1 hour time limits for respective events!

What is the headphone policy?
The use of headphones is discouraged. It is a safety hazard since use may compromise a participant’s ability to hear critical safety and/or directional instructions, especially instructions that may arise in an emergency situation.

Where are results posted?
Right here! We’ll get them online as soon as possible.

Is there shuttle service from the finish to the start after the race?
Yes, shuttle buses will be provided for participants and family, free of charge, around the clock from 8:30-12:00 pm. There is no shuttle before the race.

How do I know who to drop my bag with at the start and pick up from at the finish?
We will transport your drop bag. Just tear the tab located on your race bib and hand to an attendant under the “Drop Bag” flag near the start. Pick it up at the finish under the same flag. Remember, you will need to supply your own bag.

Can I purchase City to the Sea merchandise anywhere?
We do not have a store available at the moment.

Do You Offer Elite Registration?
Yes we offer elite registration for the half marathon.  We will comp your race fee if you meet our elite athlete standard. Standards must have been met within the last 18 months.

Race runners need to remember the following important tips……

  • Do not run through the finish chute more than once. This causes inaccurate times and delays results.
  • Pin your bib number on the FRONT of your shirt so we can see it and tie the computer chip on your shoe.
  • Do NOT go back and run in with a friend if you’ve already gone through the chute. This causes inaccurate times and delays results.
  • After finishing, head to the awards area, get your breakfast and relax with your family and friends!
